A final match that caught the few spectators that braved the inclement weather by surprise. though there were goals of all tastes, 12 to be exact. This making up for the one sided affair that went on the pitch.
Collegians success story was spearheaded by a remarkable Steven Soussi who does not seem to age if we go by what he offered on the pitch. He was rewarded with 5 of the 8 goals cored by collegians veterans, the others scored by Feri Mousset and 2 Brian Perez. Darren Olivera with 2 and 1 a-piece from Gareth Flower and Ian Grech replied for Grammarians.
Soussi opened the scoring for Collegians very early in the game but Flower soon levelled making us think we would be in for a tough game. But up came Soussi who added 2 ion succession with less than 20 minutes gone. Moussat and Soussi again took Collegians to 5-1just before the interval but with enough time for Olivera to shorten arrears from the spot.
The second half was a mere formality with further goals from Perez and Soussi with Olivera and Grech reducing arrears for a final 4-4 win to Collegians Veterans against a rather depleted Grammarians Oldies who came to this match needing only a draw to win.

The weather slightly improved the following day for the women’s final between our only two girls teams Eagles and Lions Hawks, on paper a tough match considering there two previous solitary goal encounters. But on the morning Eagles proved vastly superior to their rivals. But for the occasional counter from Lions Hawks in the second half, it was Eagles way from start to finish.
Lyndsey Sene with an early opener set the pace for Eagles who soon was to score a second.
Further goals were to follow after the interval with Nicola Short and Alison Avellano scoring twice for a final 5-0 win to the Tangerines who without doubt has made an excellent start to the season.
