GVA Workaholics Tournament

It looks as if local Volleyball is steadily coming back to live going by the entries registered in the recent workaholics 2009 tournament held at the Westside Sports Hall with 10 teams taking part.

The competition, a mixed tournament of 4 players 2 men and 2 women with men not allowed to spike.

Teams were divided into two groups playing a round robin contest with the top team in each group playing the final and runners up contesting 3rd/4th place.

As expected the event proved a great success where all present enjoyed an excellent evening of volleyball.

The eventual winners were Jyske Bank 1 (Kelly Chaury, Susie Edwards, Kasper Thy Jessen, Morten Smedgaard Jensen) beating mixed workers (Emma Labrador, Cassandra Felices, Charles Santos, Karin Pacheco) in the final.

Global were 3rd (Yolanda Bautista, Hollie Buhagiar, Robert Buhagiar, Paul Gache) after beating Jyske Bank 2.
