Leaders Barentertainment.net and St Bernard’s Social Club provided the top clash of the week at the Saints premises in Zoca Flank.
The game that ended with a 4-1 success to the leaders proved highly exciting with very classy snooker seen. Perhaps the most thrilling the encounter between Francis Becerra and Mukesh Bakhru, the former winning 52-48.
Earlier on Yewhung Chin beat Peter Bensadon 48-8. Lawrence Sisarello gave Barentertainment a 3-0 lead with his 46-29 win over Wesley Tacon.
The leaders lead was shortened when Adrian Wink in a magnificent performance defeated Sean Galligan by the narrowest of margins – 45-44. Nicky Correa with a 65-35 beating Harry Ward gave the leaders the 5th point at stake and so a 13 points lead over immediate rivals Cue Ball.
Earlier on, St Bernards had beaten Mediterranean rowing club by a comfortable 5-0, thus slightly climbing up the table.
The other matches played saw Cue Ball defeating a 4-man Team Queensway to win 4-1 and so hold firm to runners up spot. It also saw Astoria’s first win of the season, a 3-2 affair against hosts the Mediterranean Rowing Club.
